Boons, Surfers for Wetlands PresidentBoons received his undergraduate degree in environmental analysis from the University of California, Irvine and graduate degree in environmental management with an emphasis in wetlands ecology from the University of San Francisco. Boons currently works for the California Air Resources Board, implementing air quality regulations.

Boons volunteers his time for the Surfers for Wetlands organization because he is bringing together his passion for both surfing and wetlands preservation.

Ruben O., Vice President

Ruben, Surfers for Wetlands Vice PresidentRuben received his undergraduate degree in criminology from the University of California, Irvine. Ruben currently works for Fedex, Inc.

Ruben volunteers his time for the Surfers for Wetlands organization because he loves surfing his home breaks in Orange County, California and wants to have clean water for Orange County's beaches.

Theresa T., Secretary

Theresa, Surfers for Wetlands Secretary Theresa received her undergraduate degree in nutrition from the the University of California, Davis. She currently works for the California Air Resources Board.

Theresa volunteers her time for the Surfers for Wetlands organization because she loves wetlands and wants to do what she can to protect and preserve California's remaining wetlands.

Michael N., Treasurer

Michael, Surfers for Wetlands TreasurerMichael received his undergraduate degree in international business from San Francisco State University. Michael currently works in real estate speculation in the Bay Area.

Michael volunteers his time for the Surfers for Wetlands organization because he loves surfing at Ocean Beach in San Francisco, California and wants to be a part of an organization to make a difference in the world.

Jaqueline L., Director of Public Affairs

Jaqueline, Surfers for Wetlands Director of Public AffairsJaqueline received her undergraduate degree in business from the FACHA University in Rio de Janeiro. She currently studies in English in Orange County, California.

Jaqueline volunteers her time for the Surfers for Wetlands organization because she wants to have clean water for Arpoador Beach in Rio de Janeiro, where she grew up.

Pablo RM., Director of Development

Pablo, Surfers for Wetlands Director of DevelopmentPablo received his undergraduate degree in business management from the University of La Serena in Chile. Pablo currently owns and manages two restaurants in La Serena.

Pablo volunteers his time for the Surfers for Wetlands organization because he loves surfing in La Serena and cares about having clean water for Chile's long coast line and beaches.

Janie B., Human Resources/Payroll Manager

Janie, Surfers for Wetlands Human Resources/Payroll ManagerJanie received her degree in accounting from Empire College. She currently works for the County of Sonoma. In her off time Janie enjoys taking walks on the beach in Northern California with her daughters.

Janie has always been an active environmentalist and volunteers her time with Surfers for Wetlands because she cares about protecting our wetlands. “This is my way of giving back to the community,” says Janie.
